2018 is just around the corner and we’re super excited to announce that we’ll be back again next year with DRAGFEST! This time we’ll be going all GLAMAZON on yo ass. Dust off your safari hat and bring the bug spray, it’s time to get tropical. Keep an eye out for Anacondas, they’ll be after your buns!
Viceland — the cable network of Vice Media that brings us some of our favorite shows, like Balls Deep and Ellen Page’s Gaycation — has today announced the return of some of its beloved series, along with a few new shows. Among those new shows is one that has us squealing with joy: The Trixie & Katya Show, featuring two of our favorite RuPaul’s Drag Racealumnae.
The series, which will premiere on Nov. 15 later this year, was born out of the hilarious drag duo’s web series UNHhhh, which has thus far been presented by World of Wonder, the L.A.-based production house that gives us Drag Race (and will continue to be produced by that team’s EPs, including RuPaul herself). It’s a show where the girls have discussed literally anything and everything. (As the tagline goes, it’s “the show where we talk about whatever we want, because it’s our show, not yours.”)
In 57 episodes to date, topics on UNHhhh have spanned the gamut from hookups to breakups to death to porn, always made fun and entertaining with quick-witted editing and clever use of green screens. We can’t wait to see more of that, this time blasted out to an even larger, more mainstream audience.
UNHhhh was also recently included in Entertainment Weekly‘s July 28 edition of “The Must List,” making it one of the 10 things the magazine was in love with that week. The show itself dates back to March of last year.
Among Viceland’s other new shows is Most Expensivest, in which the rapper 2 Chainz will expand on his popular GQ.com digital series “Most Expensivest Sh*t.” That show will air after The Trixie & Katya Show on Wednesdays. Returning series include Bong Appétit, Weediquette, Cyberwar and Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia.
