Talk about All Stars!

Not only do we get our first glimpse of the girls in the club, Ru also posted on social that a new trailer will be dropping tomorrow, December 4. Are we the only ones counting the days until AJ and the Queen premieres on Netflix?

RuPaul not only stars in AJ and the Queen but also serves as a writer and executive producer alongside Michael Patrick King, the Emmy-winning Sex and the City showrunner also known for his work on The Comeback and 2 Broke Girls.

The 10-episode hourlong comedy stars Ru as Ruby Red, “a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old stowaway,” according to an official synopsis.

“As these two misfits, one tall, one small, travel from city to city, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance winds up touching people and changing their lives for the better. Oh, and RuPaul performs a killer musical number in every drag club.”

Recently we finally got our first glimpse of Ruby Red in the first teaser for the series. In the sickening preview, Ruby serves head-to-toe red realness while she sashays down club runways, all while a new Ru track beats in the background.

It was previously announced that Josh Segarra (Broadway’s On Your Feet!) will play Hector, Ruby’s boyfriend, “who has a dark and dangerous side.” Matthew Wilkas (Gayby) has been cast in a recurring role as a hot cop.

Clear your calendars now for January 10 when AJ and the Queen hits Netflix. The children are not ready.
