“RuPaul’s Drag Race U.K.” Announces More Celebrity Guest Judges
We all breathed a sigh of relief when it was confirmed that Michelle Visage would be joining Ru behind the judges’ table on RuPaul’s Drag Race U.K. It has been revealed that the other two judgy Judies from Drag Race, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews, will not be jumping the pond with Ru and Michelle.
Replacing Carson and Ross will be two British television icons, Graham Norton and Alan Carr. Graham Norton, who hosts long-running Graham Norton Show, and Alan Carr, who hosted the late-night series, Chatty Man, from 2009 to 2016. For Drag Race U.K., Graham and Alan will rotate as resident judges—like Carson and Ross do for the U.S. version—and then they will both appear on the finale.
More celebrities have been announced as guest judges for the new international edition of the competition series. Scroll through below to see who will be joining Ru and Michelle behind the judges’ table.
Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, who played Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, has been confirmed as the first extra special guest judge.
“What I love the most about drag is the story of the drag queen behind the facade,” Maisie said about her upcoming trip to the Drag Race mainstage. “I think that so much of drag comes from a place of real pain and seeing how that transforms into a character is so interesting to me. I love that about art and about drag.”
Spice Girls’ Geri Horner
“I just love how drag encourages people to be exactly who they are,” said Horner in a statement. “This show has brought so much joy and pride to people all over the world, I can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing queens representing the UK in this first ever series.”
“I love absolutely everything about drag. I love that it’s art. I love how fabulous it is, how fun it is… I just wish in my next life I can be a drag queen,” said the Little Mix member, and Drag Race superfan.
“I love that you have to dare, you have to dare and drop all of your social norms and restraints you have been taught and you have to dar to embody something higher,” said the Chewing Gum star.
The self-proclaimed Drag Race aficionado, has already lip synced for his life with the Drag Race girls, and now will he will be critiquing the queens from behind the judges’ table.
